API Key

AMA is build with GPT models from OpenAI. If the usage limit have been reached you will need an OpenAI API key.

How to get an API key ?

To begin, visit https://platform.openai.com/account/api-keys

You should be prompted with two options, Log in, or Sign up:

If you are a brand new OpenAI user, select "Sign up" If you are an existing OpenAI user and have an account, simply log in to it and continue.

• Click on your username in the top right corner and select "Manage account".

• Select "API keys" and click on the "Create new secret key" button.

You can start experimenting with $5 in free credit that can be used during your first 3 months.

The price for the model used by default on AMA (gpt-3.5-turbo) is $0.0015 / 1K tokens. This represents roughly 2,400,000 words for 5$.

You can use this tool to understand how a piece of text would be tokenized by the API, and get the total count of tokens in your request. To learn more about OpenAI API pricing you can visit https://openai.com/pricing.
